Router.law developer terms (draft)

Status: draft for Marty to check against Law Society of Ontario guidance. Not in force.

These terms apply to anyone who builds a product, agent or integration on Router.law's API or MCP server.

What Router.law is

Router.law prepares official Ontario forms from information you send it, and returns them for a person to review. It provides general information about what forms ask for. It does not give legal advice, does not decide what anyone should do, and never files, submits or sends anything. A person must review every form before it is signed or filed.

Your responsibilities

  1. What your agent or product says is your responsibility. That includes anything it tells people about a form, their situation or what to do next.
  2. Don't present Router.law output as legal advice, or as reviewed or approved by a lawyer, paralegal or Router.law.
  3. Show people the result for review. Pass on requires_human_review and every outstanding_actions item. Don't treat a filled form as final, and don't file or submit it for anyone without their review and direction.
  4. Don't invent answers. Ask the person each question Router.law returns. Where they can't answer a must-ask question, record "unknown" or "not applicable" rather than guessing.
  5. Keep keys secret. One key per product or person. Revoke a key you think is exposed.

Pilot

During the pilot, use made-up data only. Router.law does not yet accept real client information.
